Over thirty years ago when Suzanne first realized her real estate clients were doing everything, they could be here for just a couple of days a week, she had one of those "light bulb over the head" moments – just because she had the good fortune of having been born and raised here, she did not have to leave. From that moment on, she has fully embraced the Berkshire lifestyle.
In her 35-year career, she has learned that buyers and sellers, regardless of the size of the property, are best served by an agent who will sort out the nuances of the market, help them clarify their priorities and then advise on the best course of action. Her no-nonsense approach to working with clients has allowed her to stay productive even in challenging times.
Knowledge, experience, and a sense of humor - that is the formula. It helps everyone keep things in perspective and keeps the process moving.
A background in education including degrees in special education and administration and a long history of hands-on service has given her a tremendous foundation for her work in real estate. From educating clients about the many facets of buying or selling a home to understanding the psychology of the transaction and everything in between, she is able to use that training to better serve those she works with now. In fact, she is still diligent about education and recently earned the PSA certification (Pricing Strategy Advisor) which is vitally important for both buyer and seller clients. She also holds certifications as a mediator, coach, and staging professional - all great skills to help buyers and sellers navigate their real estate experience.
Her years of real estate service have included membership in a number of collegial committees including the Professional Standards Chairperson for the Berkshire County Board of Realtors. member of the Board of Directors and the Leadership Development Committee. She has also served on the Board of Directors (and currently sit on the President's Advisory Board and the Real Estate Committee) for Construct, Inc. - a South County agency helping people in housing crisis through creation of affordable housing, homelessness assistance, job training and a host of other services. She is very proud of the work Construct does to help people keep or get a roof over their heads. In fact, every time she has a closing, a donation is made in the name of her client.
When she is not doing real estate, you can usually find her hiking with her dog on some little travelled trail, canoe racing or in her studio making glass art.
