Always the consummate leader, with a heart for service Tanya fine-tuned her “straight shooting” skills at the University of Michigan where she lit up the courts as a four year letter winner in women's basketball. In 2014 Tanya was inducted into the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame.

Tanya returned to Grand Rapids in 1990 to begin her career as a CPA. After a pleasant experience purchasing her first home, she later received her license as a real estate salesperson. In 2015 with her family’s complete support, Tanya jumped full time into real estate and hasn't looked back and moved seamlessly from independent agent to a Mega Agent. The Legacy Homes GR brand now includes 9 full-service agents at Keller Williams GR North.

Whether she is out with first time buyers, or her newest agent, Tanya always takes the time to offer advice and education to her clients or team.

When she isn’t out on the hunt for homes, you may find Tanya relaxing with her family or sneaking off to any place warm and sunny. Her family includes husband, Roger May, who operates Mayson Painting a local residential and commercial painting company in Kentwood, and her children Parker, Xavier, and Madisyn Tillman who are her pride and joy. Parker is a licensed REALTOR and serves the team as Director of Operations. He graduated magna cum laude from Northwood University May 2018. Xavier is a professional basketball player for the Boston Celtics and played collegiately at Michigan State University. Her daughter. Madisyn is a junior at Eastern Michigan University. Tanya is also a life member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc, a board trustee of the Kentwood School board and the National Treasurer for the Mothers of Professional Basketball Players Inc. She attends Brown Hutcherson Ministries and is nana to 7 amazing grandchildren.
