Tayona Tate

Born and in Northern, Tayona experienced for herself the ins and outs of the market, buying her first home at the age of 21. Since then, she strives to make an impact in her community through her work, believing that homeownership is something everyone deserves and is possible with the right agent by their side.

Over the course of her career, Tayona has played many roles, being a property manager, an ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), a CSP (Certified New Home Sales Pro), and an SFR (Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource); all designations that bring her clients that ultimately makes her a desirable resource for successful transactions. Many of her clients are investors, buyers relocating to the area, and first-time home buyers. She is an expert on cities like Reno, Sparks, Tahoe, and Carson City, and especially enjoys showing people around her favorite hotspots like Midtown Reno, as well as the historical homes of South Reno.

Tayona loves what she does and relishes in seeing her home buyers build generational wealth and moving forward with dreams realized. She sees the value in being her clients’ realtor for life and treats everyone as her extended family. Tayona works hard to nourish her ever-growing community by hosting housewarming parties, providing local business referrals, and never missing annual client appreciation events. Success is happy clients and trusted referrals that often include grown-up children from past clients.

As a proud mother of three beautiful children, Tayona is also blessed with an amazing partner who supports her and her achievements. She’s completed the Nike Women’s half marathon in SF in 2015, participated in a 178 mile relay every May called RTO (Reno Tahoe Odyssey), and realized her lifelong dream of visiting Cuba in 2018. A music lover at heart, her repertoire spans genres and generations with rap, grunge, and jazz being her favorites. Tayona also sits on the board of a non-profit, For Kids Foundation, providing children with the care they need from childhood to adulthood.
