Real Estate often runs in families, and we are proud to announce the addition of Tom Martins, the son of our own Bob Martins. As a young man, Tom set his sights on city life and moved to New York City at 18. He quickly felt at home there. Tom spent 25 years in NYC before briefly living in Santa Monica and eventually settling in San Francisco for five years. Why, you may ask? It was because of his love for the theater. Tom enjoyed acting, directing, and all the behind-the-scenes work like lighting and set building. Where else could he find all of that in one place?
Tom's parents owned the Valhalla Motel for many years, which is now the location of the Second Chance Animal Center. This gave Tom a great place to escape the rat race of the city and visit. Returning home to Vermont, Tom enjoyed the amazing views, fresh air, maple syrup, long drives, and of course, a trip to the Chocolatorium in Arlington. All of these experiences made Tom want to return to the area and make it his home.
While studying for his Real Estate exam and training at Maple Leaf Realty, Tom also became a member of the Dorset Players. He will be performing with them this October. Acting is truly in his blood! To complete his homecoming, Tom adopted Raven, a six-year-old dog from Second Chance, the place where his parents' motel used to be. It's a full-circle kind of thing.
If you would like to meet Tom and get to know this free-spirited guy, please give him a call or send an email. Let him assist you in your search for a home. Or perhaps you need help selling and finding your next adventure, your next home, your own circle of life.
