Tom and his team were AMAZING! My husband and I knew that buying a home would be difficult in the current real estate climate. A listing would appear on a website one day, and it was literally pending the next. I watched the websites intently and if we were interested, we called Tom and his team and they got us in ASAP. We placed a few offers on a couple of properties, but alas, with the interest rates being so low, us requiring a full sellers assist to cover closing costs, and so many buyers approved for a mortgage, we knew we may not be able to compete. This is why having Tom on our side was crucial!

On the 3rd home we put an offer on, we were the first to see it, but again shot down. Our offer was too low, our seller's assist was too high, and they had received another offer right after ours that the seller was going to accept. Tom knew how devastated we would be if we lost this perfect move-in ready home and DID NOT take no for an answer. After speaking with the sellers agent on our behalf to give us a crack at a counter, he came up with some creative solutions to make it happen, and the sellers finally accepted our offer!

I already thought Tom was the best out there, but now we know for sure! We could not have been happier with our decision to choose Tom as our Realtor, and thank him from the bottom of our hearts for going to bat for us, going above and beyond, and making our dreams a reality! I highly recommend choosing Tom Skiffington, RE/MAX Central and RE/MAX 440!

When I started looking into buying my first home, several friends and family members recommended the Tom Skiffington team. I went to a first time home buyers seminar with them and then worked with Karen Kemmerer in my home search and eventual purchase. Karen was great to work with. She was always available to answer any questions I might have and was someone I could trust to give an honest opinion about the homes we viewed. Home buying is stressful, but the Skiffington team made the process as smooth as possible. I will absolutely be recommending them in the future.

Tom really helped me and my wife in purchasing our new home. He had a lot of knowledge of the area we were looking at and he was very patient in showing us about 6 or 7 homes that were in our price range before we settled on our dream home. He recommended a title company and home insurance company also, which made it easier because I'm not the type that wants to shop around for that, when it's easier to just go with his recommendations. I still enjoy reading his facebook posts and he also lists some homes on facebook that I'll peak at now and then. And, I remember how excited my wife was when we went to settlement and in the lobby of his office on a placard it had our name and congratulations on settlement of our home. Sometimes, it's just the little things that make a huge financial purchase worthwhile.Less
