About Timothy
Who is Tim Cyr? What can he do for me as a client?
Personal History
I have held a Maine Real Estate License for over 13 years. I have been a real estate investor for over 20 years and have owned small businesses, vacation homes, and rental properties during that time. Along with two partners, I once formed and grew an Information Technology company that became successful and was eventually acquired by a publicly traded firm. When I was young, I was the kid who always did odd jobs: a trash route, paper route, shoveling snow, raking leaves, mowing lawns, clean-ups. It was important to my independence for me to be able to ‘pay my own way.’
The life lessons taught me perseverance, the value of hard work and entrepreneurship, the ability to communicate with very different people, and the need for integrity in all situations. All vitally important when working with people’s homes, properties, investments and precious financial assets.
How I work with clients
During a successful business career, my training always stressed getting to know and understand clients’ needs. As a Realtor, I consider this vital. Listing or buying a house is about YOU the client, not me. I am always client focused.
What does this mean for my client?
Yes, I know Maine real estate law, practices and procedures but can also help to guide clients with my personal life, financial and business experience. This is a unique benefit only available to my clients and that few others can provide.
Personal
BA Economics from WNEU, Springfield MA. Married 38 years to Pam. We have two successful adult children, one in ME the other in CA. Three happy, smart grandchildren who we try to visit frequently. One very active terrier named Small Fry. Although not quite so young anymore, I still love to play baseball and hockey when time and my achy bones permit. I love the outdoors, fishing, skiing and drinking lots of coffee.
Life is short, be happy, healthy and active!
