I can tell you there is a huge difference between realtors. I don't like high-pressure salespersons, and that includes realtors. After 18 months of searching for the right property (that we can call home} I called Tom Cassil Jr. to inquire about a remote property in White Bird Idaho.
As a resident of a town 500 miles away, Tom stretched out his network on our behalf to get us any and all information we considered necessary for our satisfaction.
This included things like multiple live video tours of the property, contacts with professionals and locals to complete the buying investigation. All professional throughout the process. Tom went above and beyond.
We closed on November 2023 to tell you that this review is long overdue and we owe him this.

I don't recall how I found Tom, but I'm so glad I did. We're looking for a new home in Idaho (somewhere in or near Grangeville to Orofino) and Tom has been the best help in the process. We currently live 12 hours away so it's difficult to get up to see property on the spur of the moment. Tom has absolutely gone the extra mile to find things that are really worth looking at for us. He will find out pretty much anything you need to know about a house or property and give you an honest assessment. We've travelled up twice and he's spent literally days with us, showing us the area, taking so much extra time to help us get to know the area and feel comfortable there. This has been a huge help, as now I know where to look and where NOT to bother looking when I see listings. He has taken the time to get to know us and what we like/don't like, so he knows now what properties are likely to interest or not interest us, which is incredibly helpful. He is always ready to chat with me and answer questions about any property I might be interested in. He is so honest and so good at his job. When I've walked through possibilities with him I have felt confident in his ability to assess the worth and the quality of the home/property and feel sure he is not just out to sell me a house, he really cares to help me find the RIGHT house, for the best price, for my family. Tom is personable, thoughtful and kind (he even brings snacks!!). Our search is proving to be a long process (we are looking for something pretty specific) and he has not gotten tired of us or written us off as time-wasters. He just keeps helping. I was looking for a referral agent in the Grangeville area to sell my Aunts house. I knew I needed someone who was local and that I could trust. I did my research and found Tom. Gave him a call and was immediately impressed with communication and knowledge of the market in the area. I passed his info to my Aunt and she was impressed. He went above and beyond to ensure the house was prepped for sale and did a great job continuing to market the house even when the market cooled off. He found a great buyer and got the property sold. Highly recommend Tom if your looking for a REALTOR in the Grangeville area.

If you're looking for a hard-working and honest realtor then Tom is your guy! We were looking for undeveloped land in Idaho County at a time when the market was on the rise due to out-of-staters trying to escape their own states. After unaccepted sale agreements, months of finding a parcel then learning the seller just accepted an offer, and dwindling options we told Tom we were going to take a break from looking. He didn't pressure us to keep looking nor did he persist in sending us listings. When we were ready to look again months later, Tom gave us his same energy and expertise and dedication. Hiking through undeveloped land in snow and wind looking for survey pins and discovering what the land looked like he helped us "see" what each listing could or couldn't offer. He wanted to make sure we found just what we were looking for and didn't hesitate to identify any aspect that didn't fit for us and our future plans. He researched our options and made sure there wasn't any easements or existing contractual obligations that would hinder our financing or affect our future plans. He worked closely with our lender and made the process and experience as seamless and easy as possible. Less than a year ago we purchased 12 acres of beautiful prairie land and couldn't be happier with what we got from our experience with Tom. Thank you Tom for helping us reach our goals!
