About Tom

Tom Krause got his first taste of real estate at 16 when he and his brothers urged his father to buy a house that they could fix up, and the rest is history.

He later continued to pursue real estate out of a home office, which was a 34-foot travel trailer. He focused mainly on commercial real estate but quickly found that new Traverse City friends and acquaintances approached him to help them find or sell their homes, and the KRS residential division was born.

A number of high-profile commercial projects – including the new TBA Credit Union building on West Grandview Parkway and the former Lear Manufacturing building on South Airport Road – have catapulted Krause’s name into the top ten commercial real estate brokerages in the area.
