Tonya Cruse

Hi, I’m Tonya Cruse. My husband is Kelly Cruse and we are both lifelong natives to Blue Ridge, GA. My ancestors made some unique contributions to our beautiful county and my family dates back to the late 1800’s. My great, great Grandpa, Cruso Miller, owned the property where the dam at Lake Blue Ridge is now located and the property around it and my great Grandpa, Cliff Miller, was one of the first to take visitors to the area on guided fishing trips on Lake Blue Ridge. He and my great Grandmother were also the “caretakers” of the then cottages on Caretakers Point and ran the original marina. My Beautiful mom, Carolynn (Miller) Allen was a homemaker and Mother. I’m so Thankful and Grateful that she was! My Dad, Roger Allen, Sr and a Vietnam Vet, and his dad were employed at the Tennessee Copper Co. in Copperhill TN. Although my dad wasn’t a carpenter by trade, he built his and my mom’s home and various other small projects. My two older brothers were put to work helping and I usually just watched and fetched tools for them. Little did I know that one day all that watching and fetching would prove useful in the various jobs that I’ve had through the years, but it did and still is! Right out of high school I started working for one of the first cabin rental companies in the area. When the owner and my mentor retired, I got scooped up by another company that went on to have a very successful business for several years. Over 12 collective years in the cabin rental industry, I performed almost every position there was in the field from laundry girl to general manager. When opportunity for change came, I worked for a local builder and then on to a lengthy career in real estate where I was an office manager for three plus years and a personal assistant to a very successful real estate agent and friend for the last ten years. Now, I’m embarking on a new journey as a Real Estate Agent. I truly believe that God has ordained my steps through the years to bring me to this moment.
