Where do I start, Me & my wife were initially Condo shopping with no knowledge of condos or their resale value. After speaking with agent after agent somehow we stumbled across Topher. Straight off the back he told us what we were doing right and what he recommended we do. He persuaded us that we could buy a home. He toke his time and showed us 5 homes that we were not to kin of, but then we stumbled across this one particular home that caught our eye. Topher made sure that it was still on market and scheduled a viewing. Instantly after agreeing that this was THE ONE, Topher got us under contract. Him and his team were awesome. we did not have a regular sale our home was a short sale. Topher negotiated the Repairs & closing cost. 2 1/2 months later we are here in our home that we love. This would of never been possible wasn't it for the Topher Kauffmann team. I felt as if we could trust him and we were right. He is knowledgeable, down to Earth and will get you what you want. We entered our home with 20k equity & a good interest rate as 1st time home buyers. when we're ready for our next home I'm going to Topher. He doesn't Bait & switch he locks in and closes the deal!

This was a smooth process., I would recommend Topher to anyone,. He walked me through the process step by step,. His admin person was terrific I think her name was Ashley. He worked with me on this after 5 p.m. because I have a 9 to 5 job,. I was looking for a house in goose creek for months and found one I thought I really liked. After Topher took is there I realized it was not for me! So I asked him to take me somewhere else close by that has a listing with another realtor. I LOVED the house and wanted it right then. Topher took care of everything. I didn't do a things except sign papers! He even got the price reduced AND got a few grand from the owner for repair! Couldn't have been happier. Super easy, no nonsense. He calls with changes or questions, other than that you jaunt have to pack! Very glad he was on my side!

From his first phone call to us 15 seconds after we asked for info on Trulia, to closing a month later, Topher made us feel comfortable as first-time home buyers. He has a great personality and was great to work with. He was an aggressive negotiator and had the listing agent accepting our offer, the first, even though they wanted to sit and wait for other offers, and got closing costs included under the original listing price. When it came time for repair negotiations it went smoothly because of our only-offer status, so all the major items were included. I would wholeheartedly recommend Topher to anyone wanting to buy or sell in the Charleston area.

We tried twice to sell our home over 1.5 years. We gave our first realtor 8 months and they were only able to get 2 showings during that time. They always wanted to do open houses, which generated no true prospects. We took the house off the market and about one month later we gave another local realtor (Caleb Pearson) a shot and he was never able to get one showing in less than 3 months. He also was in contact with us once a week for about the first 3 weeks and then we wouldn't hear from him. At that point we took our house off the market for 7 months when we decided to try and sell again. We interviewed more than one realtor this time and Topher just happened to call us the same week we were interviewing so we fit him in. We couldn't be more happy that we took that one last interview because it was the best selling experience. My wife and I both knew we were hiring this guy within a few minutes of talking to him. He was upfront, straightforward and didn't blow smoke up your rear end. We knew what we were getting with Topher. If Topher said it, Topher did it. He said, he would get buyers in our home and he did. He said, he would be in contact with us multiple times a week and he was. Our home was on the market 18 days before we had a contract on it. We had 4 showings during those 18 days, which was more showings than the combined other two realtors we had used. Topher got it done and he got it done quick. We told Topher we weren't open to doing open houses and he said, Great, because I don't do them. They are a waste of mine and your time. There were over 40 other homes on the market in our neighborhood. Did I mention he got us $3K over our asking price too?! Topher is a true professional and really knows how to get it done. We recommend him to anyone we know looking to sell their property and we would use him to buy as well

When I started online research about moving to Charleston, I was very fortunate to contact Topher about a house on James Island via Zillow which had sold. Topher responded very quickly to my enquiry, brought me up to speed with the market and after listening to my needs and timeline ( planning a move form DC to Charleston over 6 months) steered me towards new construction. When I contacted him with the community I was interested in, he confirmed it was an excellent community, after all his parents had just moved there and the journey began! The path was not smooth with regards the desired timeline from selling property, to job hunt, mortgage loans etc. but Topher hung in there through the 8 month process, the house we were purchasing had a delayed build out. Finally everything came together and we were able to close on time and move in to our new home just before Christmas. Topher, stayed in contact with our builder, sales team as well as our loan officer throughout the process ensuring everything went smoothly. He continues to provide us with excellent advice on local services and we will most likely see him in the neighborhood or at the beach! Whatever your goals, desires deadline, Topher will get you there!

I thought about selling my house for a long time after having it listed with 2 other agents. With those agent I had signed the paperwork, they took the pictures, had a few laughs, then I never heard from them again until my house went expired. I maybe got 10 showings between the 2. I still had realtors calling me for the listing. I feel bad for saying this now, but I would be rude to all the agents that called. I was just sick of it all. I had a Realtor call me one day and I gave him the same story, but he was like I GET IT, YOURE PISSED OFF, ID BE TOO. From there I started listening to what he had to say. He gave me references to 2 other homes he listed in my neighborhood. I gave those people a call and sure enough, everything he said was true and they had nothing but great things to say about him. From that day we listed my house. I had 10 showing THE FIRST WEEK! The home sold within a month and he really calmed my nerves with selling my home. I am glad I used him as my agent and would recommend him to anyone.

He was on top of everything from day one. He was very eager in working on the sale of my home and he literally handled everything from start to finish. He made sure we had a lot of showings and was adamant that I not worry about the stress of fixing the house up because he would have it sold as is and no point in wasting the extra money. As first time home buyers, we were totally naive to the home buying process. We also had a tall order for what we wanted between low cost, lots of land, and not too far from work. Topher held our hands through it all. He set us up with a FHA lender and within a week of contacting Topher, we had a contract signed. This whole process happened over the Christmas holidays, and even so he was super responsive any time I had a question or concern (which was often). Then we encountered problems getting the house insured, but Topher and the lender doubled their efforts and made it happen in a timely manner.
