About Vincent

Vinny’s lifelong familiarity with the Adirondacks, combined with his background in forestry, land use and site planning, conservation design, construction management, and real estate negotiation and execution, allows him to bring a highly balanced and informed approach to every client project on both the buying and selling sides. As LandVest’s Principal Broker in New York, he also collaborates closely with the firm’s timberland managers and brokers on large acreage properties, as well as with the consulting group on appraisal, conservation design, land use, and estate planning assignments. His unique blend of expertise enables him to provide skilled, well-supported negotiation strategies grounded in a clear and defensible understanding of each property. This approach has led to numerous successful and record-setting transactions throughout the Adirondacks, including the record sale of Brandon Preserve. Vinny is based in Keene Valley, New York, and his experience extends well beyond traditional brokerage. He offers added value through established relationships with real estate attorneys, contractors, engineers, fiduciaries, architects, surveyors, and appraisers, along with proven negotiation skills and a thorough understanding of federal, state, county, and local land use and zoning regulations. He also provides access to advanced GIS mapping capabilities, expertise in conservation design, thorough premarket due diligence and troubleshooting, and guidance on estate planning and generational transfer strategies, supported by a world-class marketing team and innovative tools.

Prior to joining LandVest in 2005, Mr. McClelland built a successful career in land use planning and development consulting, working as the owner of McClelland and Associates in Alaska and as Director of Planning for the Adirondacks with The LA Group. He specializes in waterfront properties, historic great camps, and large, complex tracts of land, many of which include forestry components or conservation easements, while also contributing to LandVest’s real estate consulting efforts. He was educated at The Gunnery School, Hobart College, and the University of Vermont, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Forestry.
