About Vinny

Vinny was born and raised as a true Queens New Yorker. He attended public school K to 12 then pursued his degree in Legal Studies at Saint John's University. Upon graduation from the University, he joined the New York Police Department where he proudly served our community from 1995 until 2015. In 2015 he retired from the police department as a First Grade Detective.

While serving as an Officer of the Law Vinny became fascinated with Real Estate and began investing in Real Estate personally, acquiring several properties. He seized the opportunity to retire early from his career in law enforcement so that he could enter into Real Estate full time.

Vinny joined Keller Williams Real Estate International, the world’s largest Real Estate Company in 2016. As his Real Estate experience expanded, he recognized the need of many homeowners who wished to sell their homes for top dollars yet did not have the money to bring the homes up to top condition. He began the search for talented professionals capable of home repair and renovation. Thus, his real estate company became Ask Vinny Thompson, as he intended to be the answer to any question regarding New York City Real Estate. Vinny and his team of professionals offer unique services to declutter, organize, clean, paint and repair your home so that you and your family could maximize the financial return you would receive from selling your home.

Vinny's wife Marjorie retired from her career in nursing and joined him in his Real Estate business in 2018. They have been married for 17 years and have two children. They have lived in the area for 30 years.

They currently cover Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island on a local basis. Because he is part of an Internationally Real Estate Company, he can help you with your Real Estate needs across the globe.
