About Wade
From an early age he had a fascination with building. This led him to a career in design, building, restoration, and land planning. His restoration company focused on mid eighteenth-century structures in the Connecticut River Valley. Clients included museums, celebrities, historical societies, and period house afficionados throughout New England. He has lectured, written articles and produced a documentary television program for public television on historic houses and their stories. He continues to consult on restoration and preservation projects and serve on the boards of two historical organizations. He has always been sensitive to the preservation of the character of a community and has strived to integrate proper planning with stewardship.
An ideal which has served him well in the real estate business. He started in the real estate business while attending college and it always played a part in his various careers. In 1996, he opened and managed the Woodstock office of one of New England’s leading real estate companies. After many years of remarkable success, he opened his own brokerage firm in Woodstock. This led to him being hired as a broker and marketing director of a startup real estate company. A stint with a couple of large real estate firms leads him back to being an indie real estate firm. Through the years the business of real estate has changed dramatically and as the economic crisis of a few years ago happened, he realized that the biggest marketing advantage in a tough market was the knowledge and experience he gained to provide complete statewide coverage.
