About Wendy

Wendy Smith was born and raised in the Wilmette/Winnetka's New Trier district. Upon graduating from Northwestern University Dental, Wendy and her husband moved to North Carolina to build their entrepreneurial dream. They built from the ground up a successful health club in the growing area of Raleigh/Durham. After their first child was born and Genesis Health Club was a profitable success, they decided to sell the business and move back to their hometown to raise their family alongside their extended families.

Wendy came from a family-owned dental business and as a dental hygienist herself, the ability to transfer her genuine concern and people skills into real estate was inherent. The transition into real estate was a natural procession since her husband is the founder and CEO of Brookhaven Properties Inc., a luxury home builder serving the North Shore. Having built and sold over seventy-five homes on the North Shore and lakefront property in Lake Geneva, WI with her husband, Wendy's experience spans all types of clients from first-time home buyers and sellers to luxury lakefront estates. Wendy's experience with new construction has created her greatest strength. It has given her the knowledge, skills, patience, and passion to take a blank canvas and create one's dream home. On a different level, it has given her the ability to see an existing home's potential and help the client visualize the possibilities while capturing their particular needs and desires. Since Wendy herself has been personally involved as both a buyer and seller on so many properties over the years, she can understand the many concerns and emotional rollercoaster feelings that accompany the buying and selling process. Whether you are buying or selling, Wendy stays open, straightforward, and honest creating a relationship based on mutual respect.
