Raised in a small town in Colorado, Wilson Van Law came to New York in his early twenties and fell in love with Long Island. The beaches and the parks, the historical landmarks and vineyards, the inlets and harbors, all make him thankful to call Long Island home. Working in real estate allows Wilson to provide the level of service his clients deserve while still being able to dote on his three children. Insatiably curious, Wilson has lived abroad for six years, having worked in both Germany and Spain. He has traveled extensively and studied or lived in Paris, Rome, Venice, Florence and Prague. An unabashed foodie and lover of wine, Wilson revels in the food and drink grown and made near him on Long Island. When not working or with his family, you can often find him running a trail or paddle boarding near his home on the north shore.
Known for his candor and approach-ability, Wilson is also acutely aware that buying and selling a home is usually an immensely personal and emotional experience. Seldom just a transaction; for many buyers it’s often a roller coaster of doubt, fear and anxiety. He deals with these fears directly. With compassion, empathy and years of experience, he deftly guides his buyers and sellers through the complex process of buying and selling with ease.
After serving in the military, Wilson got his start in documentary films and for many years had his own Manhattan based production company - working both in New York and L.A. - before moving into real estate. His business and creative background, decades long experience with digital marketing, and years spent buying, rehabbing and marketing his properties, give him a unique real estate skill set. He knows what steps are needed to successfully sell a home and shares these with his sellers. For buyers, his years of finding and acquiring homes for renovation in a competitive market has given him tremendous insights into negotiating and an eye for value. Wilson knows success in buying and selling is a team effort and he revels in this process.
