Why Live in Roxbury
Bordering Lake Hopatcong, the largest lake in New Jersey, Roxbury is a Morris County town offering a centralized location with quick access to a diverse transportation network. “One of the great things about Morris County is you’re smack in the middle of North Jersey,” says Ted Miller II, a Realtor-Associate with Coldwell Banker Realty, who grew up in Roxbury and has been selling homes here since 1991. “It’s easy enough to get to New York City, it’s easy enough to get to the Poconos in Pennsylvania or even the Jersey Shore.” The area originally served as an iron mining hub in the 1700s for the Continental Army, but the construction of roads led to the community’s continued growth. In the late 1800s, Lake Hopatcong was one of the region’s busiest summer destinations.
