Why Live in Santa Ana Pueblo

Santa Ana Pueblo is a Tamaya Indian Reservation along the Rio Grande and Interstate 25, about 20 miles north of Albuquerque. The community owns two nearby golf courses and the Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel. Residential streets immediately outside the reservation carve into the hilly terrain west of the Sandia Mountains. “People are drawn to it because of the openness and the views. The subdivisions are spread out, so you have gorgeous views of mountain tops and desert,” says Terriane Morrison Everhart, a qualifying broker and partner with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Las Cruces. “It’s a quiet area, and it’s super picturesque. It’s well-maintained, and the streets are beautiful.” Earth-toned, stucco, Pueblo-style homes with driveways and garages blend into the sandy lots surrounding the reservation. Homes rarely come on the market; only two sold around Santa Ana Pueblo in the first half of 2025 at prices between $750,000 and $870,000. Both came with lots larger than an acre. Morrison Everhart says she sees interest in the area from those who want more room. “Families are putting value on having space between neighbors and room for kids to run and venture around,” she says.
