Encinal at first looks like the ideal school. If your child is gifted and neurotypical it could be a good fit. I loved the community and high achievement level of the children. Needs a new principal and better teachers! Bullying goes unaddressed and most teachers lack the motivation to really address misbehavior in the classroom. The school is failing at nurturing students that want to learn more. Loss of a good vice principal has further deteriorated the situation.

We absolutely love Encinal! My son is in the Spanish Immersion program and it has been an incredible experience: he started kindergarten in an English class, but got off the waitlist for SI and transferred at Thanksgiving.
