In my experience, the teachers are nice and try to help students succeed. There are plenty of opportunities for advanced classes, however there are limited AP classes offered, making it so students may enter college with fewer college credits than students from other schools in the district. The campus feels safe enough and fights are rare.

CHS was a great school. The teachers (especially the math and engineering) prepared me for my college level courses. I was involved in Project Lead the Way, the soccer team, ASB, leadership, and more. I loved all of the activities that we had available.

Overall the school is really good. The academics are really good and we offer so many cool classes such as Biomed and mock trial. I think the worst part is the food and some of the teachers. My gpa was ruined because my science teacher didn't know how to teach us the material in a way that we would understand, so so many kids that are usually straight A students were getting B's and C's. The school food is also just kind of unappetizing.

I really don’t like writing reviews. But I’m so sick and tired of this school. I have tried over the last 4 years of my daughter’s attendance here to do things professionally. They are horrible!!!! My daughter had a life threat situation. The schools knows until this day they’ve not reached out to m...

This high school is one of the best in Kern County. My son has had great teachers every year and their sport programs are great.

I would rate the experience as very poor. The disrespect Administration has towards parents is very bad. It also seems that most staff do not really care about the students. There is too many examples to list them all but they all add up. My son was called "Mike" instead of his name Kevin for two ye...

This school has bullies for principal and Assistant Dean. My nephew is an 18 year old Autistic senior attending this school. He moved in with me because he was being mentally and physically abused at home. about 1 and a half years ago, the school was made aware, but his mother put on great show, so...
