With a mission to “live, love, laugh, learn and leave a legacy,” Kyrene de la Mirada Elementary School helps students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade learn to be better citizens.
As the leadership academy for the Kyrene School District, the school follows the principles of Sean Covey’s “7 Habits of Happy Kids” and encourages students to take ownership of their learning. By helping students become better communicators and develop a broader sense of community, and by fostering data-based learning, the faculty help students achieve at levels far above other schools in the state.
Kyrene de la Mirada Elementary School often ranks in the top 5% of elementary schools in Arizona, with reading and math test scores well above both the district and state averages. Extracurricular activities extend beyond the norm, to include author visits, etiquette classes and field trips, among other enrichment activities.

We absolutely love Mirada after having a really bad experience at another school. We love the Leadership that they embrace and live by. It shows in the students who show those leadership roles and skills every day.
