Skinner West is an incredible school, the teachers there are phenomenal and the learning environment is well fit to a student who wants to do his/her best to learn everything they can. The majority of the kids I know at SW are all literally 99th%ile in both reading and math. It is a great middle school for those who want to get into a selective enrollment HS.

I attended this school for my 6th and 7th year. I hated it. The bullying and mental torture I had to sustain was irradicating. Students were separated by classical and neighborhood which was very discriminatory. This school isn't all that great, I had been pushed back a year because of my fear of going back here. Now I'm 16 and a sophmore. Unless you're rich and popular, you have no luck here.

Skinner has some of the best teachers and families you’ll find anywhere. It’s a big school, so it can take a little time to find your rhythm, but those who do discover a strong, welcoming community where kids are pushed to grow.
