My experience at Freeport High School is similar to any other. I excel in the honors classes and consider myself challenged by the AP courses. My favorite pastime is Sinfonietta, where I'm able to express myself through music with my beautiful violin. The safety of my school is on the other side of the spectrum. I'm not a big fan of the stabbings and school fights.

My experience at Freeport High School was cut short due to Covid during my freshman year, but once classes resumed it was Ok. The best thing about it were the art and music programs and the extracurriculars. The students were not good.

Best: has good classes, the counselors was nice and wonderful, has an NJROTC program in which the teachers and the chain of command are wonderful. Worst: some teachers will pass students who are literally failing (aka my living environment teacher for freeman year), some security guards let all the students who they are friends with get away with so much stuff, if you need extra help for a class don't expect them to have it because half of the time they didn't.

I found most of the teachers excellent but my children suffered religious discrimination by the faculty and the district was unresponsive and unsympathetic. I would recommend this school if you don’t plan to be included in all activities.

Scoring a school based on a particular aspect is borderline unfair. A student will do well if he/she shows interest in scholarship. This school provides robust academic curricular in addition to multitude of extracurricular activities aimed at developing the WHOLE child! Astute students would take a...

I’d give FHS a 9.5/10. My experience was beneficial and life changing.

I loved Freeport High School. We had so many programs, and extracurricular activities while I was there. The teachers are gems, as well as most of the staff. I know this school gets a bad rep, but honestly I have little to no complaints, other than the fact that they switched out guidance concealers...
