Lamar like any school has its pros & cons. I'll start with the positives most of the teachers really care and interact and nurture their students. The campus is very big and it definitely has a lot of diversity and will definitely prepare you for the real world. However Lamar also has its cons the Admin can be very rude unhelpful & just not an overall good experience the only good dean i've experienced so far Is Ms.Grabill she is very solution based and very good at her job and she does it all while being kind yet stern.

It was a great experience at Lamar High School and the teachers and students were very nice and considerate. There weren't any worst parts of my experience.

After going to Lamar High school for 3 years now, all i could really say is that it's really underwhelming. You'd expect a school being located in such a beautiful diverse part of the city to be fun and exciting but, so far it's been pretty average. Lamar High school doesn't really excel in anything but one thing that may catch people's eyes is the IB program. I really do like the IB Program as it provides challenging courses and material that can later pass on as college credit.

This rating tracks APs but not IB tests. Lamar is the world's largest IB school. The IB diploma and career tracks are great options for kids who choose that pathway.

UNDER-QUALIFIED. I was a transfer student who came from a A+ honor roll school, Tomball Memorial High School. Lamar High School was such a big adjustment, but I looked past and saw the potential. Within the first week, my schedule was disorganized, and had to be corrected multiple times which led me...

This year we have classes with no actual teachers. There has already been a bomb threat and sweep of the school. 3 days of special Ed bus not showing up or leaving the campus before my student was dismissed from class. The office told him, " call your parents or find a ride" when he inquired and off...

The school is good, the way things are taught are effective and I can genuinely understand topics that I had trouble with. Most of the teachers are very friendly and care for the students. There also isn't much bullying at this school which surprised me, students here are relatively friendly if you...
