I met some of the best and worst teachers at that school. I intended to do Psychology as my college major, and the way my Psych teacher treated me made me change career paths. However my Marketing Teacher was so incredibly kind and amazing that I wanted to do marketing, because she allowed to me to be genuinely expressive and interested in the subject.

The 4 years that I have spent at SME have been okay. The teachers and academic side of the school have been nothing short of amazing, while the student body has been terrible. Majority of my grade has a sense of entitlement like they are better then me and everyone else. I can't go one day without hearing a joke about my nose or my hairline, and the school does nothing to address these things cause it doesn't just happen to me.

I had 3 kids go through the school. 2013, 2018, and one going through 2019. This school is amazing in getting kids ready for college, top notch teachers that know what they are teaching and programs beyond other high schools outside of this pocket of kansas. The downfall is the socioeconomic privile...

I graduated from SME in 1988 and was a coach there later in life for 7 years. SME challenged me and allowed me to quiz out of calculus in college. My physics class was better than the one I had in college. The school continues to produce great kids that are ready to take on the world.
