As a student at Rockaway Collegiate, it was a journey. I came into the 9th grade directly from Guyana, but the school has helped me develop myself in many different ways. I also like the diversity in both the student and teacher body. The teachers at RCHS were very helpful and encouraging throughout the years. They would try their best to work with any student to give them a chance to achieve something great.

Do not. I repeat. DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL!!! I currently attend Rockaway Collegiate as a senior. It's been THEE worst 4 years of my life. Most of the staff are bias and unprofessional, there's an ongoing problem with bullying, and there's barely any activities at all. The school building itself is infested with rats!!! Please for the love of god do not go here. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!!! The only school in the campus that I'd personally say is worth it is Channel View itself. DO. NOT. GO. HERE.

Rockaway Collegiate is a good overall school, very nice and supporting teachers. School starts at 8am and ends at 2:20pm. Teachers support you in school work and prepare you well for college. There are a few clubs and there are lots of events that are engaging.
