James Franklin Smith Elementary School (JFS) is a public elementary school located in the Evergreen district of San Jose, California. The school has a balanced curriculum and high-quality standards with the objective to develop intellectual, physical and emotional capacities of its students.
JFS opened its doors in the fall of 2000, and more than two decades later continues to serve the community of Silver Creek Valley. Through its "Learning Today, Learning Tomorrow" motto, the school aims to prepare students for their future careers. It utilizes California Standards of Achievement as the base of its curriculum and has demonstrated ample success for the students it serves.
