The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

Desert Mountain High School is a great school and I would recommend for anyone to go there. They have a wonderful environment and I greatly enjoyed my last 4 years here. All the teachers here are wonderful and genuinely care about the students education. They above and beyond to help the students. There are also plenty of resources here for students to use.

Overall this school is great. They help you in any way they can and offer afterschool help in certain areas. There is a wide variety of electives and fine arts programs. They care about you and your future and have many ways to help.

I enjoyed my time at Desert Mountain. I made many friends while also enjoying my classes.

I’m a current sophomore at this school, been here for both years. The teaching is mediocre, with a lot of teachers dependent on premade slideshows or just 0 instructions/engaging teaching. I go to school at DM and my teachers are caring, intelligent, and thoughtful. I had one really bad biology teacher last year but otherwise I have been happy. I think it’s sad the parents that come on here to vent. Sometimes it’s the students fall not the teacher or the schools. If you don’t do your...
