Formerly Pacific Harbor Christian School and Happy Harbor Preschool, Harbor Christian Schools is a private elementary and middle school that combines Christian values with a quality education. Founded in 1977 as a ministry by Pastor Herbert W. Ezell, combined-grade classes were a signature part of the school’s foundation. Over several years, more grades were added to include middle school and preschool programs.
Today, Harbor Christian maintains the values that made the school so popular in its first years. On its intimate campus, Harbor Christian offers small class sizes, a school population of fewer than 200 students and a tight-knit community of instructors. Students receive plenty of one-on-one time with their teachers and small group instruction. They are held to state curriculum standards while introduced to Christian teachings through weekly chapel visits. Several sports and arts programs are also offered to students to develop strong character and artistic expression.
