Washington Township is a mix of rural and suburban communities immediately south of Eau Claire and Altoona. The township, the third largest in Eau Claire County, offers buyers various housing choices. “The closer you are to the city, you’re seeing some rural subdivisions and commercial development,” says David Strassman, a Realtor with Riverbend Realty Group. “When you get to the outer edges of the township, you'll see rural subdivisions and country living, farms and large acreage.” Smaller new traditional and ranch-style homes cost between $350,000 and $500,000, while Colonial and Greek Revivals are between $600,000 and $700,000. Larger, two-story New Traditionals can cost between $800,000 and $1.2 million. Plots of land are for sale.
