A Lenox Hill condominium that shares amenities with the extended-stay hotel next door
At Bristol Plaza, which includes two, side-by-side addresses at 200 and 210 East 65th Street, hospitality is the foremost differentiator. It’s an appropriate distinction considering half of the complex operates like a hotel. Unlike most city hotels, however, Bristol Plaza only rents suites for extended stays lasting between 30 days and several months. The other half of the complex is a traditional condominium with nearly 300 units. “It’s very easy to go between the two addresses,” says Elaine Tross, an associate real estate broker with Douglas Elliman. “You have this nice circular driveway that connects to both buildings where residents get dropped off. But the complex is also a walk-through: There’s one door inside that adjoins the two sections.” Both extended-stay guests and condo owners have access to Bristol Plaza’s suite of amenities, which the complex calls a private members club. Despite the designation, it’s important to note that condo owners do not pay an additional fee in order to enjoy the club, nor the hotel-like services that are offered throughout the building.
Residents enjoy an indoor-outdoor pool and hands-on service from building staff
Pending availability, residents with a car may lease a parking space from the in-building garage, which also offers valet service. In the lobby, residents are attended to by uniformed doormen, a concierge and elevator operators, but Bristol Plaza’s service extends beyond the lobby. “Owners can opt into daily maid service,” Tross shares. “A lot of other condos nearby don’t have this level of service.” The club, which has its own receptionist and a small library at the entrance, consists of practical and recreational spaces. The business lounge, outfitted with both work tables and sofas, offers photocopiers, printers and high-speed Wi-Fi for those who work from home. The gym, though small in size, is well equipped, and the oversized windows (not quite floor-to-ceiling) keep the space from feeling too cramped. There’s also a spa room, where residents can book a massage. A well-appointed resident’s lounge includes plush seating, a catering kitchen and games like pool and TK. Enclosed by glass walls and a glass ceiling, the 50-foot swimming pool is perhaps the most impressive amenity. And although the pool receives incredible natural light, residents can get direct sunlight on the adjoining outdoor deck. The turfed space includes cushioned chaise lounges and cabanas, done in a cheerful cobalt blue, plus tables for outdoor dining.
Floor-to-ceiling bay windows offer long city views and ample light
Since the building was completed in 1987, many owners have customized their units to reflect their personal style. As such, finishes vary greatly from unit to unit, but those with original finishes include Italian marble bathrooms and beige tile floors throughout. “A lot of the units have bay windows with floor-to-ceiling glass, which is really very nice and makes the space feel so open and airy,” Tross says. The windows frame skyline views, the best of which come from the top 50th floor. Only two studios are present, but one-bedroom condos are more readily available, in recent years, selling for between $1.15 million and $2.25 million. Prices for two-bedroom units typically range from $1.98 million to $3.2 million, while three-bedrooms are priced between $4.25 million and $7 million. Large residences, some of which span an entire floor, have sold for as much as $18 million.
Set in the middle of more-distant attractions and close by necessities
This postwar high-rise is located on East 65th Street just east of Third Avenue, a walkable distance to Central Park to the west, the river to the east and Midtown Manhattan to the south. The immediate area is convenient in its own right, offering both casual and upscale dining outposts along Third Avenue and Lexington Avenue, plus groceries two blocks south of the building at Morton Williams Supermarket. As is standard in Lenox Hill, numerous doctors have set up offices in the area. Lenox Hill Hospital, New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center are all located in the neighborhood, too.
Subways and buses are the most convenient means of travel
Bristol Plaza residents will find four subway lines, the F, N, Q and R, just two blocks south of the building at Third Avenue and East 63rd Street. The 4, 5 and 6 trains are accessible another three blocks south, just over a half-mile away. Local buses provide an alternative to subway travel, with four routes running within one block of the building. For drivers, the Queensboro Bridge and FDR Drive are nearby.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
