Built on the former site of a supermarket in 1986 by AIB Development Corp. and designed by Liebman & Liebman Architects, The Dunhill offers Yorkville living with a guaranteed private outdoor space. All homes in the 28-story building feature a brick terrace or balcony, some quite large, or accessible from multiple rooms. The 85-unit condo’s penthouse, with three floors and two connected residences, offers a total of 1,300 square feet of outdoor space, including a 900-square-foot roof terrace — accessed from the home’s private screening room.

One- to four-bedrooms with a variety of finishes and fixtures

Homes at The Dunhill include one- to four-bedroom apartments. One-bedrooms as large as 929 square feet ask for up to $1.2 million, and two-bedrooms measuring up to 1,322 square feet are priced up to $1.5 million. Three-bedrooms can be as large as 2,455 square feet and list for as much as $2.4 million. Four-bedrooms measure up to 3,500 square feet and sell for up to about $4.9 million.

Apartments include oversized windows and terraces or balconies of various sizes. Some homes offer clear East River views. Original construction provided light herringbone wood floors and dramatic bathrooms with white-veined black marble. Units today often reflect the renovations of previous owners over the years. Washer and dryer units are permitted.

The Dunhill is a full-service condo with a 24-hour door attendant and daytime concierge. Shared amenity spaces include a windowed fitness center, roof deck, terraced party room and a children’s playroom. A canopied entrance leads to a high-ceilinged, recently renovated lobby. There is a laundry room for those residents without a washer and dryer in their apartment, and every unit has a designated storage space.

Prime Yorkville near a popular park and all conveniences

Located in the Upper East Side neighborhood of Yorkville, The Dunhill is convenient to shopping, dining and recreation, with many options along First and Second Avenue. For groceries, a Fairway Market is located at 86th Street and Second Avenue, and a Gristedesis at 86th Street and York Avenue. The riverside Carl Schurz Park, home to Gracie Mansion, a playground, gardens and dog runs, is four blocks away. Prestigious private schools, The Chapin School and The Brearley School, are directly east.

Subway trains two blocks away, a ferry landing and quick travel to Laguardia

Public transit is available two blocks away at 86th and Second Avenue, which the N, Q, and R trains service. Commuters can also catch a ferry at East 90th Street to connect to Long Island City, Astoria and Wall Street/Pier 11, among other destinations. The FDR Drive is a few blocks to the east for travel around and out of the city. Laguardia Airport can be reached in less than 30 minutes.
