Peace and quiet, but close to shopping and dining

Located near Johnstown in Cambria County, Adams Township offers a serene rural atmosphere with a rich historical backdrop. The area is known for its rolling hills and verdant landscapes, providing a peaceful environment for its residents. The township’s history is deeply rooted in agriculture and coal mining, with old farmhouses and remnants of mining operations reflecting its past. "The area is a little bit more rural, but in a good way," says Michele Haschak, Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway and longtime resident of the area. "You have that peace and quiet, but you're just outside city access too."

Properties often include expansive yards with room for gardening, outdoor recreation or entertaining. Architectural details like wrap-around porches and original hardwood floors are common, adding a touch of historical charm to many residences.
