Sought after Conejo Valley city with a rural feel

Home to celebrities and offering mountain views, Agoura Hills is a Conejo Valley city offering a mix of privacy and convenience. "The location is ideal — not close enough to LA to feel urbanized, but not too far from fun and business," says Ramiro Adeva, Assistant City Manager of Agoura Hills. "And we're less than 20 miles from Malibu Beaches." The city attracts nature lovers, as multiple equestrian stables operate here, and miles of trails shape Agoura Hills.

Suburban communities and spacious country homes

“Options range from affordable condos for first-time buyers to expansive equestrian estates,” says Watkins. “The area’s charm lies in its mix of rural ambiance and well-maintained neighborhoods.” Single-family homes sell for a median of $1.5 million, but prices vary widely. A handful of ranch-style and Craftsman homes sell for under a million. Suburbs stocked with Modern Traditional and Mediterranean Revival homes sell for around the median price. Buyers seeking more privacy and shopping with a larger budget may look in neighborhoods like Old Agoura, where expansive properties start at $3 million and go up from there.
