Rural living with a touch of Hollywood
With iconic California hallmarks like natural formations, movie ranches, wineries and outdoor recreational opportunities, Agua Dulce is a unique place to live with an ambiance all its own. From the Vasquez Rocks to the Pacific Crest Trail, the neighborhood offers residents natural beauty with a hint of Hollywood flavor. “Agua Dulce is a rural, small town,” says Debbie Kelly, a real estate broker and owner with Re/Max who specializes in ranch and rural properties. “It’s got lots of horse properties and acreage. It’s a great location with a rural atmosphere, and not too far from Santa Claus, Palmdale and Lancaster.”

Homes dotted throughout Agua Dulce
Homes are scattered throughout Agua Dulce rather than confined to subdivisions, offering residents breathing room around the homestead and with many properties multiple acres in size. Styles here include mid-century ranches, modern multi-level homes and larger estates, with the added acreage meaning the prices range slightly higher than its neighboring areas. Some properties even offer views of the Soledad Canyon desert, the Sierra Pelona Ridge or the San Gabriel Mountains, and some even all three. “Prices are all over the place, depending on how much land there is and what amenities are on the property,” Kelly says. Typically, homes start around $700,000 and stretch beyond $1 million, in rare cases dropping close to or below $500,000.

Horses, wine and Old West vibes
Wineries are one of the most popular features of the area, with both Reyes Winery and Agua Dulce Winery minutes away from each other on the Sierra Highway. “They have events here, too,” Kelly says. “There’s a Fourth of July parade down Main Street, and the Pacific Crest Trail Days happen every year. People hike that trail and come through town around that time.” Cooper Horse Riding Ranch spans nine acres for its equestrian patrons, while the nonprofit Carousel Ranch provides children with special needs with horseback riding opportunities. Circle G Movie Ranch is a trip back in time with an Old West saloon, prison, mine entrance, general store and more, offering an hourly rate and add-ons for those seeking to book the location.

I would rate this town average because I feel safe at my house to know that nothing will happen but, the people living in the town are either mean and old or racist.
