Northeast Akron neighborhood with shopping and rich culture
Known for its shopping scene and commuter-friendly living, Chapel Hill is home to over 5,500 residents in northeast Akron. Bordered by national retailers and a major highway, this sprawling suburb has essential supplies and an easy commute downtown. It's also a prime example of Akron's welcoming attitude. Along with neighboring North Hill, in the past 16 years, this area has welcomed a wave of Nepalese and Bhutanese refugees, adding a rich culture and unique cuisine. "People are very open to people of different cultures and diverse ethnicities living in the neighborhood and working together," says Leda Lambdin, Realtor with Re/Max Trends Realty.
