At the railroad crossing on Lafayette Street, a mural shows a young explorer shining a flashlight through a dark forest. "I would call the style of housing 'Pacific Northwest Contemporary,' with wood-accented walls and vaulted ceilings. The wood comes from being in the timber industry, and evergreens are definitely part of the landscape around here."
