STEAM classes at Waggoneer Elementary

Giddy up!

Just north of Allentown is Lake Solano Park, which offers a plethora of recreational activities. The park caters to nature enthusiasts, with camping, picnicking, kayaking, canoeing and fishing all serving as popular pastimes. Visitors can explore the park's Nature Center, hike along trails and watch for native birds and other wildlife. The lake is considered one of the best fly-fishing spots in Northern California, making it an excellent spot for local anglers. With 83 campsites, there's plenty of space to spend the night amid nature. A bit further north, in the city of Winters, is Winters City Park. The park includes a fenced wooden playground for children and a basketball court. The playground features climbers, monkey bars, swing sets, a play farm stand, musical instruments, a zipline, a rock-climbing station and more. Avid equestrians gallop to the Pleasant Valley Riding Center for horse-riding tracks and lessons. Meanwhile, locals can indulge in some friendly competition with six unique paintball courses at the Midway Paintball Facility.

Wrangle fresh produce in Allentown

Folks gather at Judy's Wild Wrangler Saloon for live music, shuffleboard, games of pool and darts and good, old-fashioned country fun.
