Harland Terrace is a West Atlanta community close to two major highways

In Harland Terrace, a West Atlanta neighborhood, residents can find a space that fits their needs. The residential community has housing prices below other Atlanta neighborhoods and a location close to major highways. “Being close to interstates 20 and 285, it's a convenient area in terms of getting where you need to go,” says Teri Mannino, a sales advisor at Chapman Hall Realty. The neighborhood also has a mix of restaurants and shops that can keep residents close to home.

Convenient access to Downtown Atlanta and Six Flags Over Georgia

Interstate 20, also known as Ralph David Abernathy Freeway, is just north of the neighborhood, while Interstate 285 is to the west. Downtown Atlanta is just over 5 miles east. The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority, or MARTA, operates a bus system in the region, and several stops can be found along Peyton Place Southwest and M.L.K. Jr. Drive Southwest. Downtown Atlanta is just over 5 miles east, while Six Flags Over Georgia is close to 5 miles west. Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is less than 15 miles away. Condos and single-family homes in a renter-heavy neighborhood

The community has several condos that can range from $100,000 to $140,000. “A lot of the time, investors purchase there to turn them into rentals,” Mannino says. Nearly 90% of area residents rent their living spaces, but there are traditional single-family homes that can range from $270,000 to $350,000. Neighborhood streets like Peyton Place Southwest and Harland Road Southwest are lined with trees and other plants, and sidewalks are uncommon. The neighborhood has a CAP Index Crime Score of 6 out of 10, higher than the national average of 4. This overall score is driven by high scores in violent crime.
