Warm and friendly residential enclave
Located in northeastern Austin, Scofield Farms blends residential charms with a wealth of nearby conveniences. “It’s a warm, friendly residential neighborhood,” says Rachel Barnwell, realtor with Fletch Realty. “The proximity to town and its convenient location between Mopac and Interstate 35 is a draw for people.” The neighborhood started its development in the early 1990s and now hosts well over 500 homes and has plenty of amenities for its residents, including an expansive namesake neighborhood park and pool. The community’s HOA maintains the neighborhood’s clubhouse and pool, which are great places to meet your neighbors. There are also annual events like the Easter Egg Hunt, live music performances, hay rides, and more that brings residents together.
Spacious housing options
Barnwell adds, “There are a lot of traditional-style homes that were built in the late 90s and early 2000s, and many have been updated since then. A lot of the homes have good-sized yards with mature trees” Single-family homes are clustered along sidewalk-lined streets throughout the community, but this is no cookie-cutter neighborhood, as homes come in various architectural styles. Many homes in the area have brick accents, giving them great curb appeal. Prospective residents can find a modest two-bedroom house for $300,000, but real estate prices in the neighborhood, for the most part, have ranged between $400,000 and the mid $600,000 range for homes with exterior and interior upgrades and backyard pools. On the northern end of the community are spacious condominium units that come with enclosed garages and often have covered balconies.
Newer built homes in Scofield Farms have siding and limestone facades.
