With an abundance of upscale housing options and proximity to many big-city amenities, life on Williams Island gives you luxury with a view. Cradled between scenic Maule Lake and Dumfoundling Bay, the neighborhood provides residents with scenic panoramic waterfront and city vistas every day from the many high-rise condominium units available. Starting out with the first residential high-rise in 1985, the island underwent massive growth to be the bustling enclave that it is now, with various towers jutting out from the private island community. Though there are some units available for rent, the vast majority of properties available are for purchase. You can find a fully furnished, two-bedroom condo with great views for $540,000, or a resort-style property with modern interior appliances and a variety of community amenities in the $850,000 range. There is also an abundance of luxury properties that start out around $1 million and can reach up to $4 million for luxury penthouse suites.

Boatowners in the community can dock at the Williams Island marina, which has 106 slips for vessels up to 130 feet. Living in the neighborhood gives residents a wealth of luxury amenities at their fingertips, including an expansive 27,000-square-foot spa and fitness center. The fitness center not only hosts a variety of classes, ranging from yoga, dance and meditation, among others, but also offers personalized fitness programs. The indoor lap pool is great for aqua aerobics and strength training. After a workout, head to the spa center for a relaxing massage.

There are plenty of places nearby for a bite to eat, as well. You can grab a soup and sandwich and take in the sun rays on the terrace of The Island Deli, or just head there for a latte and bagel to start your morning. Island Grill is a great spot for date night or when you want to treat yourself, offering plenty of tasty drinks and menu items. Residents can also relax poolside at the Island Club Pool Bar and Grill, a great spot to meet new friends and enjoy a nice, cool drink. Residents are also just minutes from the Aventura Town Plaza, home to various shops and dining. Fresh Market has all the fresh produce, fruit and groceries you’ll need for tonight’s dinner, or head to Plum Market for organic options.

Parents living in the neighborhood will likely enroll their children in schools in the Miami-Dade County Public Schools district, with many children starting out at Aventura Waterways K-8, followed by Dr. Michael M. Krop Sr. High School. Boasting a 95 percent graduation rate and noted as one of the best high schools according to U.S. News and World Report, this school is known for its academic excellence. With 33 athletic teams and many extracurricular activities and clubs, students have many opportunities to find their niche, and can create one if they’d like.

Getting around the area is a breeze with Biscayne Boulevard close by, and I-95 just a short ways away. There’s also ample public transportation around, whether you’re taking the train or the bus. Nothing’s too far away while living on Williams Island, but there’s also nothing that’ll beat the view from home while living there.
