Surrounded by low-lying fairways full of history, Amberton exuberates class between two country clubs – the Stockdale and the Sundale. These established golf courses have been cornerstones of the community for over 70 years, and Amberton is no different. "Years ago, these clubs were started by oil and farmers," says Cecilia Clark, Broker Associate at Emerge Real Estate, who has sold homes in Bakersfield for over 17 years. "We have several country clubs here. One's oil, one's farmers, one's new money, and one's extremely old money. We used to produce 10% of the nation's oil, and we are known for our carrots and almonds."
