Designed in the 1970's as a “community within a park,” the first condominium building (1A) was designed as deck style housing, showcasing the work of architect Moshe Safdie. While the later condo buildings, townhomes, and detached houses feature more Traditional designs, all of Coldspring's options include access to this community’s many amenities. Play ball at the local baseball field, enjoy the calm of the local bird sanctuary, or walk the Coldspring 7-circuit meditation labyrinth. The area also offers membership to its 40-meter pool and tennis courts, as well as its rentable spaces at the Ruscombe Mansion Community Center. Residents can also enjoy the nearby Jones Falls Trail, which spans from Mount Washington through Coldspring and into Downtown. The perfect spot to bike, walk or jog you can even take a detour through the Cylburn for additional sights.
Students here attend the nearby Waldorf School of Baltimore. The Waldorf School is a private co-ed elementary and middle school with a student population of nearly 125 students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grades. With a focus on building a foundation for life-long learning, this school promotes the integration of art, music, nature and movement into all academic subjects.
For additional entertainment, shopping, and dining options, residents can hop onto I-83 and be in one of the surrounding neighborhoods, like Hampden, Mount Washington, and Roland Park, in just a few minutes time.
