Situated along the Fox River, next to Batavia's major employers
Northeast Batavia sits right between the city’s major employers and the banks of the Fox River. While the neighborhood is mostly residential streets, except for the elementary school at the center, downtown Batavia is just south along the river, so residents are close to the shops and restaurants there. “What’s interesting about Batavia is that we are right next to Geneva and Saint Charles, which are nice, high-end areas, and on the other side of Batavia is Aurora, which has million-dollar homes,” says Kent Hernandez, a lifetime resident and Realtor with Worth Clark Realty. “So Batavia is this sweet spot of good schools and good neighborhoods that are not as expensive as the other river towns.”
