Located at the border of one of the best-known colleges in the country, the district is a meld of students, professionals and longtime residents. “It’s dense, urban and walkable, with tons of bars, cafes and restaurants,” says Realtor Sarah Ridge of District Homes, a longtime area resident who lives just north of Berkeley in Albany. “It’s a great spot to get a really nice dinner and go see a show at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre.”
