Norway Hill

Norway Hill is a residential community located within the City of Bothell. Situated just south of Blyth Park and spanning both King and Snohomish counties, Norway Hill offers beautiful homes, tall trees and proximity to the Sammamish River.

Housing options in Norway Hill consist primarily of condos and single-family homes. Houses here trend toward modest to large builds and feature designs ranging from contemporary styles featuring modular block-like shapes and sharp edges to mid-century ramblers and even cozy modern farmhouse designs. The average sales price here is a million dollars, but price points vary depending on the age, size and location of the property. Prospective buyers should expect to pay in the low $500,000s for a three-bedroom, two-bathroom condo with 1200 square feet of space. While a single-family home complete with five-bedrooms, four bathrooms, over 4200 square feet and a three-car garage, will go for anywhere from $1 million to $2.7 million. Homes here are densely populated and most sit side by side on quarter acre lots.

Students here attend public schools within the Northshore School District, like Moorlands Elementary (pre-kindergarten through 5th grade), Northshore Junior High School (Grades 6 to 8) and Inglemoor High School (Grades 9 to 12). Serving over 1600 students, Inglemoor High School is recognized for its rigorous AP and International Baccalaureate programs, student teacher ratio of 20-to-1 and a 97% graduation rate. And with the Northshore School District ranking as the No.1 school district in Snohomish County, it should come as no surprise that all three of these schools also received a rating of ‘A’ from Niche.com. For those looking for alternative options, private institutions like Cedar Park Christian School are also available.

For higher learning opportunities, the nearby University of Washington Bothell Campus is a public university serving over 6,000 students in more than 50 undergraduate and masters degree programs. Known for its research opportunities and close faculty-mentor relationships, UW Bothell was also ranked No. 1 in the nation for public colleges that provide the greatest return on investment by CNBC. Right next door, Cascadia Community College is another option, offering a range of programs focused on the areas of basic education, workforce-specific education and academic transfer.

The Sammamish River is a part of everyday living in Norway Hill. Contouring Blyth Park and cutting through the surrounding land, the river is a common spot for recreational activities. Plan to get up early and enjoy some early morning kayaking. Or go for a walk along the Sammamish River Trail. For those who want some solitude, pack your fishing gear and cast out a line in hopes of catching some fresh salmon or trout. For more time in the outdoors head over to Bothell Landing Park, less than a mile from Norway Hill, and walk its iconic pedestrian bridge. Featuring open green spaces, a boat launch area and a playground too, this park has something for everyone. Enjoy an evening of open-air music at the circular amphitheater, explore the Bothell Historical Museum, then grab a bite to eat at one of Bothell’s casual eateries, like The Hop and Hound. A stroll down Bothell’s Main Street will reveal plenty of unique vendors, boutiques and specialty stores. Here you can stop by Alexa’s Market on Main for some gourmet items, pick up a fresh bottle of vino at Rain City Wines, or head over to the local QFC supermarket for all of your grocery needs.

And when you’re in need of a change of pace, Norway Hill’s direct proximity to State Route 522 means you can get where you need to be fast. Pop next door to neighboring Woodinville to sample their craft wine beer and spirits; or head west to Kenmore to enjoy some time along Lake Washington’s shore. Offering all this and more, Norway Hill is a residential community offering large cozy homes amidst Seattle’s lush landscape.
