Established neighborhood close to the Intracoastal Waterway
Residents of Rolling Green Ridge in northeast Boynton Beach enjoy an eclectic mix of fun in a conveniently located neighborhood within walking distance of the Intracoastal Waterway. And while this is not a traditional coastal community, it is still close to the typical waterfront activities of South Florida. “You’re minutes from the water and miles and miles of beaches,” says Cody Huelsman, CEO of mygoodagent LLC, a real estate brokerage company based in Miami. Huelsman recently sold one of his own properties in the neighborhood but still keeps his boat at a nearby marina. “You’re also close to tons of shopping and restaurants.”
Waterfront activity, Ezell Hester Jr. Community Park highlight recreational options
Boaters can launch directly into the Intracoastal at nearby Harvey E. Oyer Jr. Park. The adjacent Intracoastal Park offers a tranquil waterfront setting where visitors can charter fishing boats. Oceanfront beaches are located just across the Intracoastal on a pair of barrier islands. Closer to home, residents can bike to Palmetto Greens Linear Park and fish the canal that runs alongside it. Ezell Hester Jr. Community Park is the center of recreation in the neighborhood. A large-scale renovation project, partially funded by a $250,000 grant from the NFL, recently concluded with the grand opening of the park’s upgraded football field. The Boynton Beach Bulldogs youth organization offers football and cheerleading for children ages 5 through 13. The 11-and-under football team won a national championship as recently as 2022. City officials expect the renovated park to become a regional destination for football and soccer competitions. “That’s all part of the redevelopment of the area,” Huelsman says. The park’s community center provides additional youth activities, including tours of the neighborhood’s Rosemary Scrub Natural Area.

Home pride and rising prices
Midcentury-moderns and ranch-style homes are prominent in this walkable neighborhood. Prices range between the high $200,000s and the low $400,000s. “Home pride and maintenance level has substantially increased in the last 10 years,” says Jermaine Bell, a Century 21 WC Realty listing agent with more than 10 years of experience. “There is no HOA, but the city has stepped in with code enforcement, and the homes have begun to reflect this.” Renovations stand out among the neighborhood’s options. “It’s definitely and up-and-coming area; prices are going up,” Huelsman says. “I just sold my home for $340,000 after paying $180,000 six months prior.” Condominiums with resort-style amenities such as pools and tennis courts in both all-ages and 55-plus communities offer a more affordable alternative. One-and two-bedroom units are priced from the low to mid-$100,000s. Given its proximity to the water, the neighborhood is at risk of flooding, as well as wind damage. Insurance rates are likely to be higher as a result.
Some residents keep their boats at the front yard as the canal and intracoastal is nearby.
