Valencia Lakes and Tivoli Reserve offer recreation, entertainment and friendship
The 55-plus community of Valencia Lakes, established in the 1990s, provides residents with so much recreation and entertainment that they rarely have to travel beyond the front gates. This community includes the neighborhood known as Tivoli Reserve built in the 2000s. “Florida’s very car-centric, so it’s a benefit to have everything you need on site,” says Talya Lerman, a Realtor with The Keyes Company and native of South Florida who sells throughout the region. “You don’t have to think about traffic.”
Mediterranean style homes from the late 1990s and early 2000s
The homes in Valencia Lakes are custom contemporary with Mediterranean influences. Tivoli Reserve has similar-style homes, though newer. Throughout the area, homes sit on manicured lawns, maintained by HOAs. Homes here often back up to the community’s lakes, giving residents water views. Smaller homes feature two or three bedrooms and range from $400,000 to $700,000. Larger homes with three or four bedrooms range from $700,000 to $900,000. Higher-priced homes often feature upgrades like backyard pools and gourmet kitchens. Due to Boynton Beach’s vulnerability to hurricanes, most homes are built with impact-resistant windows and hurricane shutters. Both communities feature guard gates manned by security 24 hours a day. Regarding crime, they receive a 1 out of 10 rating on the CAP Index, three points lower than the national average.
Residents find recreation at each community's clubhouse
The neighborhood's main attraction is its clubhouse, which has tennis courts, pools, a fitness center and activity rooms. Tivoli Reserve’s clubhouse has similar amenities. Golfers must head outside the neighborhood to play, but the closest course open to the public is Westchester Country Club, about 4 miles away.
Boynton Beach Boulevard is a dining and shopping destination
Residents can dine at the clubhouse’s café. Other dining out options include the mix of chain and local restaurants along nearby Boynton Beach Boulevard. One favorite is Flakowitz of Boynton, an authentic Jewish deli. Whole Foods, Target and Baptist Health Bethesda Hospital West are also along Boynton Beach Boulevard. About 7 miles away, Boynton Beach Mall and Boynton Town Center offer shopping at popular retailers like PetSmart and Dillard’s.
Residents of both communities enjoy a wide variety of social clubs for entertainment. Tivoli Reserve has a full-time activities director who plans regular events like dances, guest speakers, and concerts. Like the other Valencia neighborhoods, Valencia Lakes has dedicated staff who bring in live entertainment, often “Catskills-style comedy and Andrews Sisters-type quartets,” says Lerman. “The communities often compete with their entertainment.” This competition is a plus for Valencia Lakes residents, who have access to events at other Valencia communities.
Florida's Turnpike and I-95 are conveniently close
Florida’s Turnpike runs along the communities’ west sides, and Hagan Ranch Road runs along the east. Both roadways connect to Boynton Beach Boulevard. Interstate 95 is nearby and runs throughout the state. Palm Beach International Airport is about 20 miles away.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data.
