A new GL Homes community
Valencia Sound is a new community for residents 55 and over on the western outskirts of Boynton Beach. Crafted by Florida homebuilder GL Homes, Valencia Sound consists of 412 single-family homes. "The Valencias go back to the 1990s, and along with that comes different types and styles," says Realtor Jeffrey Katz of the Jeffrey J. Katz Group at Re/Max Direct. Built in 2019, the community has several newer and state-of-the-art facilities, including a racquet club and fitness center. Residents stay active here; there are large tennis teams that compete in leagues, people who play bocce, and over two dozen other clubs and activities.

Houses in Valencia Sound come in 18 models and range from 1,500 square feet to more than 3,500. All homes have at least two bedrooms and a two-car garage. Architecturally, homes are single-story ranch-style houses, set with the short side facing the road. Homes are generally Mediterranean transitional in style, with white, gray and tan walls and gray or brown barrel roof tiles. Katz says Valencia Sound is the first Valencia community to use gas and have flat roofs. Many have bay windows looking into curved front rooms. Lawns are lush and neat, with young palm trees and manicured bushes adorning the landscape. Sidewalks are bright and wide and tend to line one side of the street.
