Kitsap Lake sits among a forested backdrop, close to Dyes Inlet, just north of the 238-acre body of water of the same name. “Kitsap Lake sits amongst a neighborhood, where you’re in a neighborhood with older homes next to newer homes, and then all of a sudden, there's this lake,” says Valerie Grindley, a broker with Better Properties Real Estate who has over 6 years of experience. Outdoor recreation is not limited to the lake; rather, it extends east to the Kitsap Golf Course & Country Club.

Commutes along Kitsap and Chico ways
Highway 3 runs through the neighborhood’s eastern portion from north to south, parallel to Chico Way, which has Kitsap Transit bus stops. Both roads connect the community with Silverdale, located about 4 miles north. Ferries depart for Seattle, Port Orchard and Annapolis, nearly 6 miles southeast in Bremerton’s downtown. “This neighborhood is all connected arterially and is right in the middle of all the bases like Keyport and Bangor,” Grindley says. “Most people think Kitsap is an island because we have the ferries to Seattle, but we’re not; you can drive down into Tacoma and up to Seattle, too.” The Seattle-Tacoma International Airport – or SeaTac – is roughly a 55-mile along Highway 3.
