Compared to surrounding cities, Brooklyn Center generally offers lower median home prices while still maintaining strong community amenities and access to parks, trails and shopping centers." East Palmer Lake has about 80% single-family homes and 20% apartments, with about 60% of residents owning and 40% renting. Recent sales prices in East Palmer Lake range from about $250,000 to $450,000. Most properties in East Palmer Lake are ranch-style homes, though there are some Cape Cods and split-level homes as well. Walkers and joggers should be cautioned: many streets in East Palmer Lake do not have sidewalks.
